Ambohimanga hill
Made up of a royal city, funerary sites and numerous sacred places, the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga reflects a history and a strong identity of the Malagasy culture. Ambohimanga is the base of the dynasty which led the Merina kingdom at its height (today Madagascar). Twelve hills directed and unified by the great king Andrianampoinimerina who ruled for seven years and transferred the capital of the kingdom to Antananarivo.
You must go admire the former house of Andrianampoinimerina, the greatest king of the country. You’ll discover a place full of history and next to it, the summer Palace of the queen as well as the conference room of the queen and prime minister. An excursion that will delight the whole family.
